Just what I needed!
My track car has been up on jack stands for about a month of interior guttage and other projects. My "too good to be true deal" on my suspension setup is looking, "too good to be true."
I needed to meet with the fabricator today to review the roll hoop installation. So yesterday I bolted in one of my Sparcos for the first time. Hmmm - starting to look like a race car. I dropped it off the jackstands, and this afternoon on a beautiful California day, drove out to Sears Point. Even on Snow Tires (yes, snow tires) and SUV height suspension -- wow, the car is starting to feel and sound like a race car. Of course, there is zero interior in it now, aside from one lonely seat and aluminum floorboards. But with my rear planted firmly in the Sparco Pro 2000 seat and great noises coming from behind me, I started to smile. After discussing the plan for the half cage, I took the long way home -- past some vineyards, through some twisty roads. Not fast mind you - snow tires and a missing seat belt latch, but I was driving my Porsche and it felt great. Now she's back in the garage, ready for the next round of projects: Rip out the headliner and take out the sunroof Replace the washer bottle with the RS bottle Install the RS heat bypass pipe Just had to share...
