Indishrot-India red
For the last 11 years I just assumed that my '85 Carrera was Guards Red. Recently I had some parts painted, and I realized that my car is in fact India red. Is this a different name for the same color? If this is a different shade of red, what is the difference in the two reds?

Hmmm... I have a good friend who has a '75 targa that is India Red, and the red is much, much darker than Guards Red. Very deep red, with a more dark hue. ?

the color is the same. Indischrot is the German name for Guards Red. your friend's car was repainted with a slightly different color
