Taj Speedfest Kart race..... Lets get it on!
Hey Guys!!
This is the change to get a group or a Corporate team and come race! Taj Kreuzers Mini Grand Prix New event for this year’s Kreuzers Speedfest! Just wanted to let you guys know about it. It should be a ton of fun. It will be the weekend before the Kreuzers with tech on May 26th and the race on May 27th! We’ll be racing through the streets of Kettering, Ohio. Should be fun! (Can’t wait to see Ash and her sister in their pink go cart!) This is the 1st year for this event.. next year.. you only pay half that as the KART is yours.. Businesses or individuals can sponsor a cart for $3,000 and they’re still looking for a few sponsors (all tax deductible and for a good cause, the Ronald McDonald House). Your sponsor actually OWNS the KART so they can decorate it to their heart’s desire! If anyone knows someone that would be interested in sponsoring a car contact Tiffany Heck at tiffanyheck@pacedayton.org. Here’s the link to the Kreuzers event: http://www.tajmagaraj.com/events/kreuzers_2006/

Eric, you should talk to Johan Shwartz about bring his endurance kart setup to run there. It would be cheaper for the teams and the karts are MUCH faster than those toy karts. Here's a link:

The event is set for these karts only. Kind of a "spec" racer type of event. If pro-level karts were introduced into this race, I have a feeling it wouldn't really be fun or competitive for the contestants/businesses buying THESE karts. They COULDN'T win !!
Maybe in future events, if this takes off, it could be fun to invite pro-level guys to participate in a separate Le Mans type of event, on the same course !! GREAT IDEA, but I don't think this years event can accomodate it... I'll tak to Eric and make sure we pass on the recommendation. Should be a BLAST !!! Dave, How 'bout you TRE guys ??? You could put 911R tail-lights on it, or a nice ductail instead of that Indy wing !!! (Fiberglass mods should be fine, I believe !! --just not engine or gearing)
