New shoes (size 17) for Ruby

I got some new (to me) Kinesis 17" wheels from Jeff (catca) and just picked them up after getting new Goodyears mounted on them. I was really torn between these and the S-03's, which I love, but based on some recent tests, these really got the better of me.

I need to put my standard wheel studs back in the front hubs tomorrow, and I'll put them on. In the meantime, I sure like looking at them:

Nice. What is the size of your Fuchs?

efhughes3 02-10-2006 04:02 PM

The HRE 3 pc I have on now are 8X10X16, and I've got my Fuchs which are 7X8X16.

Those look great, I too want to see them mounted.
If you don't kind me asking, what did the wheels set you back?

Hmmmmmmmmmm, I miss my wheels, glad you are happy with them!
Good choice to not wait on the Kodiaks, my two sets are still 6 weeks away........
Oh, and Ed got the "good guy" pricing! :)

Cheers

Ed - now you can see what you hear! Very cool wheels.

BTW - Of all the cars going up and down 2499, I can always pick yours out when I am in the garage or outside - don't even have to look up. Those carbs at 5K do it everytime!

What can I say, I'm still remembering the days of nothin' but cows out here....With the park system, trails and The new shopping center (can you say more stoplights?), I'm sure I'll be more subdued quite soon.

Nice. I'm curious to see how you like the Goodyears. I'll probably put them on my 930 if I ever finish it since the Goodyears are available in a 315-17".

david.avery 02-11-2006 09:58 AM

Heh I went back and forth with poor Jeff on those wheels for over a month :) I really wanted them, wound up getting fikse's instead, but I really like the gunmetal finish.

Jeff's a great guy, got the patience of a saint ;), and seeing the wheels, he obviously delivers on his promises.

efhughes3 02-11-2006 11:08 AM

Jeff is a GREAT guy!

I mounted the wheels today, posted on another thread:

Thanks for the kind words, I am glad both Ed and David got the wheels they wanted! :) Oh, and I am just a regular guy!

Cheers
