Question Constant Ignition Light On

Hi all,

911sc with SEV Marchel alternator and matching SEV external regulator.

Had alternator rebuilt when red light glowed during driving.

When alternator was reconnected light came on when ignition was off.

Returned alternator and external regulator for testing, all passed ok.

But when reconnected to car light came back on with ignition off.

Disconnected Blue wire to d+ and measured 12v at d+ terminal to ground with all other wires connected.

Can this be caused by anything other than a bad alternator.

Help Please.

John
