Headlight Wiring Help
I just had my car painted, and the paint shop unhooked some wiring. In the picture of the left hand (drivers) headlight, there is the typical white plastic plug that attaches to the headlight, and there is a single plug with two brown wires attached to it that I do not know where it is supposed to go.
The right side headlight works only when I use the "Light Horn", by pulling back on the turn signal stalk - it does not work on high beams by pushing on the turn signal stalk, or on low beam (the left side is unplugged for troubleshooting). I have also noticed that the flasher relay is always blinking when the car is running. A search showed that the flasher switch turns on the high beams. Anyway, I'm sure they are related. Where does the brown wire plug attach? Rex

I'm not getting power to either the yellow (low beam) or white (high beam) wires in the fuse box. This tells me that a wiring harness plug has been disconnected somewhere. Anyone know where this is? The headlight switch must be getting power, because all the other lights work (parking, turn, instrument.....). It's just the headlights that don't work.
It's going to be light enough to drive without the headlights in a few minutes - I'm trying to get to work. Rex

The double brown wire is a ground, and I think there is a place to plug it at the rear of the headlight assembly (though I'm not certain).

Howard,
Thanks, I think you are correct about the ground wire. I found a bad connection at my ignition switch - problem solved - headlights are working. Rex
