M&K Sport

I'm about to do my engine rebuild 2.7L I'm looking at exhaust systems.

I have a set of 40mm webers, GE60 cams JE 90mm pistons , race spring titanium retainers compression 9.5:1 the whole kabuddle etc...

I Have ssi's with a stainless 2in 1 out Dansk exhaust system but I'm thinking of bolting on the M&K sports exhausts picture here.

What kind of additional power gain would these give me over a 2in 2out system, I don't care about the noise.

I noticed a large difference between my 2 in 1 out and my old 2 in 2 out performance wise. i would think less so between those and a 2 in 2 out. My home made 2 in 2 out was very free flowing as I think most are. Give me a week or so I am going to bolt on some old stingers I bought in place of my 2 in 1 out and see what it is like for track days. Should be pretty similar except mine will be louder!

thanks mb911, I would have thought alot of the racing guys would fit these.

I want to use this for a street application, anyone know what kind of Decibels these pipes would create?

They are great for top-power -- basically the same as open megaphones -- but also very loud! They are quieter than regular megaphones but not really streetable. For a street car I would suggest looking at Ben's regular "can" sport mufflers, or something like a Monty if you have a burning urge to spend 3X as much.

i have tried a bunch of different mufflers on my MFI 2.7 including something very similar to these. they feel great to drive (not yet dyno'd) but are freakin' loud above 3000rpm.

i think they're too much for the street. i'm only going to use them for race events.

for street driving i'll either use a stock 2in 1 out (very hard to beat) or my RSR style 2in 3 out (which has end caps to swap between 1 and 2 out).

Matty74. Do a search, JPNovak (Jamie) had posted a video clip from inside his ST replica with these mufflers I think. They sounded great!
