Speedometer Interchange?

Guys,

Just bought the following 160mph speedo from FleaBay. I guess I should have asked before I bought but can someone confirm this will be a direct drop-in for my 85mph speedo in a 1980 911SC?

I think it should work... They are both electric. Only concern would be that the 88 has a G50 trans. Don't know if it would affect number of impulses/ mile to calculate correct speed. You might want to call North Hollywood Speedo and ask them... Lou
