91 911 Turbo headlights HELP
I have read all the H5 to H4/H1 conversion information on this forum until my eyes went blood red.
I can't find anyone who has converted their headlights in a 1991-1992 911 Turbo all the info seems to be up to 1988. Some have indicated (Daniel Stern) that 86 and earlier headlight assemblies can be converted to H4s and fit on our car. Is that for real? I have seen some problems with the fit, with falling out in the turns and some have used wire ties to keep the headlight from falling out. What is the real deal? Do they (86 and older) fit? Help! ![]()

Jim,
I'd think the lights should fit. The lights available on 80's Euro-spec 911s are the same part number as the one shown for the Euro C2 turbo, so unless I am missing something.... I suspect most of the problems you have heard about stem from improper installation or damaged parts. I've run the Euro lights for over 20 years in a variety of cars with nary a problem. JR |
