Lambada Question on part numbers
 

I have two Lambada controls one is 0 280 800 023 and the other is 0 280 800 055 and nothing shows up on Pelicans site can anyone tell me what years they are for?

0 280 800 055 is probably Porsche part number 911.617.103.00, which is for 81-83 49-state 911SC. The other one should fit a Delorean. It may also fit a 911 but I can't tell you which one.

Is there some way of crossing the number on the unit to a usable part number?

Sometimes a part will have both numbers printed or stamped on it. Other times, it will have just one or the other. Occasionally, you can find a part number cross reference on the internet. Or, you can try a Google search with the part number-sometimes this will yield a site where you can find the part and glean some more information.

Or, you can figure out what the possibilities are (in this case, there are three different part numbers for Lambda control units for a US-spec SC) and ask people having the actual cars to look and see what they have.

There is a Bosch book that has a list of the part numbers and the cars that it fits. Your friendly, local auto parts store may have it (FLAPS)

When it come to Bosch O2 sensors, the main trick is to match the # of wires. Basically, any Bosch sensor with the same # of wires will work (Narrow Band)

1. One wire (signal only)
2. Two wires (signal and ground wire)
3. Three wires (signal and 2 wires for the heater element)
4. Four wires (signal, 2 heater wires, and a ground wire)
