How many hours to swap 3.2 out/in

How many hours does the book state to swap 3.2 out/in.

Thanks,

one complete engine for another complete engine (no wrenching other than to drop drivetrain and install a different engine to the tranny and bolt everything back in)... maybe 4-5 hr. But there are always things that pop up...things that should be fixed or replaced while things are out. So it's hardly ever that easy...

Edit: Oops...you stated book. Do you want to know what the shop will charge you to drop the drivetrain and reinstall it?

engine drop

I got the engine/trans out and on a stand in about 4 hours first time around without rushing and with a little help from a friend.
Can't comment on the other 1/2 since I haven't put them back in yet.

Do you have a hoist, because if you have a hoist you can R&R the engine in about 2 1/5 hours with some practice.

We used to charge about $400 to R&R (remove and reinstall) an engine but this was many years ago and was generally applicable for a 930 motor in need of a major service. Don't know what the going rate would be now but that may give you a ballpark figure.
