thermostat threads came off with nut !
If you didn't know what it means to have the threads of the thermostat come off with the nut, here's a picture of mine. I applied heat, pb-blast, hammer taps, and finally got the nut to budge. I reheated it, then turned it some more. 20 minutes into it, the nut came off along with the threads. Looks like I'll be back at the classifieds for a used thermostat.

Souk, tell me more. You mean this may still be useable?

Yes, you can buy "Thermostat savers" from Pelican, I just bought 2 (there is 1 left in stock) and will try to install them this weekend.
I cut the nut with a dremel to try and save my threads but they was to corroded... I hope mine is saveble. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1140101590.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1140101796.jpg |
