OK to have Oxygen Sensor Unplugged

The 82SC Targa I'm picking up has the Oxygen Sensor unplugged.
It has the SSI's and Dansk Muffler installed with theOxygen Sensor bolted in the header pipe.

I did some searches but the only answers I came up wasthat it may damage the Cat (Don't have one) and the fuel economy will go downhill.

Charlie (The seller) disconnected it so that the motor does not run on the lean side and enriched the mixture a tad.

Will this cause any problems down the road?

Thanks !

John,

Print this out and put it in your file. Look for Charlie's post in this thread.
