Where to acquire steering extension hub?
 
I did a search and found that there was a factory "1" hub extension available. I'm wondering if there is a "2" hub? Actually, I don't know where to get either so any help would be appreciated.

The factory one comes attached to the steering wheel. They didn't offer a 2" version. Aftermarket wheels, such as Momo, can be extended with separate pieces but these are also more like 1" in depth. You might want to find a deeper-dished wheel. One word of caution however; the more you extend the steering wheel away from the hub, the harder it will be for you to reach the stalks to the side of the wheel with your fingers. With the standard extended-hub factory wheels, this aspect is noticeable and a little annoying. I personally wouldn't want a greater extension. You can usually find these wheels used on Ebay, or in various classified ads, such as on Pelican.

Quick release hubs will give you about an additional 2”s. Can be deactivated and removed if you get a bolt on, not weld on. Other issues is horn operation.

What steering wheel are you trying to space? My guess is that it's not the stock one.

A Teknik quick-release and an offset spacer moved my 930S wheel almost 2 inches closer to the driver. The bonus with the quick release is that it also functions as a hard-to-beat theft deterrent. The offset spacer increases legroom, improves the sightline for the gauges, and makes centering the wheel more intuitive.

My horn works fine with it, too.

Actually it is the stock 77 steering wheel. I may have to change that.

Offset spacer? Do you have a pic of that with the wheel on?

Jack, where did you find the offset spacer? The MOMO sellers that I have questioned don't have it. I'm trying to find one that will work with a Prototipo and MOMO adapter.

Is there an offset spacer for Momo steering wheels? I've seen them for the 930 steering wheels but not for any others...

I have a stock 1" spacer for the 3 spoke wheel. With hardware included I would sell for $50.00 + shipping.
