Loprene Pics

After my frustration in fitting the OE paper heater hoses over my SSIs I needed another option. I've seen the Loprene hoses offered but they are very pricey and without any firsthand reports or decent pics to refer to, I was hesitant to try them out.

Well, last week I took advantage of a free shipping offer to try them out. Here are the results:

They fit and finish is top quality and they are easy to manipulate in tight spaces. A huge bonus are the finished ends in my opinion. Hose clamps are needed as these are quite loose on the ducts without them. The length on the right side was tight but the left side had plenty to spare.

These are probably overkill but I wanted quality fit and finish after the disappointment I've had with the OE paper stuff. To each his own I guess, I can indulge once in a while.

Hi Scott, Have you thought about doing the heater backdate to just eliminate these hoses? I already did mine.

The heater blower was replaced before I bought it so I figure I'll leave it as is and get some use out of it. I really like the forced heat it provides as it's been cold here lately.

I do like the clean look of the engine bay when it's not there. One day maybe.
