I was driving along about a month ago and the strut adjustment knob on my right front strut got knocked off by the end of the swaybar. Unfortunately I didn't notice for a little while as the oil drained out and damping went away. Sent the strut in for a rebuild and now I'm re-fitting it and trying to figure a solution.
It appears that it will only interfere at near full lock. The road grime is worn away where it was touching. The struts are Leda, the bars are Weltmeister. Love the struts so they're not getting changed. Is there another front swaybar arrangement that doesn't stick out as far as the Weltmeister? Thanks for any advice. ![]() |

Just measured and from the body to the very end of the bar is 83mm. Even losing 5mm would be enough. I wonder if I could pull the bar, grind both ends down and re-drill for the cotter pin?

I think you can solve it by swapping the left and right struts.

So what do you think--any downside to taking a few mm of the ends of the bar?
