re-barreling wheels on the east side.
I've got a set of 15" steel wheels I'd like re-barreled into 16's. Trouble is, I live in georgia. I know stockton wheel does it, but shipping all the way across the country and back is silly.

What size?
You could order steelies from Motomotions and then only ship one way? I wonder if Bart in Texas does it? |
Did you check with some of the race fabrication shops, especially up around Cumming/Dawsonville (Bill Elliott's neck of the woods)? Those guys that specialize in stock car and dirt track fabrication may know of someone local.
I had a shop off of Hwy 9 (just north of 141) do some work for me, and they would probably be a good resource, but I can't for the life of me remember the name of the shop. :-( Let me know if you can't find someone and I'll try to dig out a receipt or something. |
Thanks for the ideas...I need 16x8's and 10's. they're for the turbo bodied car (which I'm probably buying from ettsn, once I dump the subaru 360 project)

16x10s what tires will you run? isnt there aproblem with 275 width tires in 16", maybe I am mistaken.
|
7's and 9's maybe...I haven't done any of the measuring yet, I have to get the wheels off my car, swap the tires to the mcafees, and reassemble. the steels get something put on them to make the '72 mobile, then we measure.

Found the receipt last night, it was Robinson Racing in Cumming.

I don't know that they do wheel stuff, but if not they may know of someone local. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that!
