plating in SoCal?
I've just sarted to remove all the metal. looking for a place to have it all re-chromed? Anyone know of a place close to the westside of LA?

Good luck on finding a place. There may be some plating shops in your area. In the area where I live all the shops have been shut down for environmental reasons. Some people are sending stuff out of state.

hey there-
yes, there is a chrome plating shop on santa monica blvd @, i think, fuller area- a couple of blocks west of la brea- it's pretty much across the street from Formosa Cafe and a few doors down from Jones Restaurant/Bar- don't know the name but if i go by there soon ill post it here for you- it's usually open at night for some reason but you can see the whole operation going down inside- they seem to have many employees and ive seen them producing all kinds of chromed parts for cars, bikes etc- don't know if that helps but ill try to get the name if I get a chace to spin by on more way home from the office or gym sometime this week- |

I think they are called highland plating....been around for years.
also check with some local harley custom shops, they are sending out plating all the time, besides, the standards for quality are quite high when you are talking 50 to 75 thousand dollar bikes. roman |

If you have no luck with something in LA, check Phoenix Arizona. A lot of the GOOD platers have moved there.

Faith Plating in Hollywood as well as Highland Plating. Both have been around for years. Like Scott mentioned Astro Plating in Van Nuys. I've used these guys on many occasion and they never fail to deliver the best in quality and service.
