Photos of Smart Racing Oil Tank insntalled?
I've got my cage that ties into the suspension pick up points being built this week. Ideally, I'd have my front mounted oil tank already installed but Smart Racing Products won't have their's in till next week.
I was hoping to find some pics of a SRP oil tank installed to show clearances as to buiding the strut bar that attaches the camber boxes. Any help would really be appreciated! Thanks- Craig Backer |

Good you are thinking ahead!
The SR oil tank in my 69 911 took every inch front to rear of the smugglers box. But you will need an unobstructed straight shot to slide the sump down into the smugglers box. Make sure your cross brace is forward of the smugglers box opening. Give yourself an extra 1/2 inch if able. Be sure to run the return line from your oil breather to the sump. The breather return line is the small SS braid link on the right entering the tank on side. My breather is the tank mounted on an angle (later leveled) behind the sump. Here's mine, some taken during the install. ![]() ![]() |

OK, this must be the Stupid questions from Pål week, but why would you want to move the oil tank to the front??

Weight distribution - the 911 has too much in the rear.
