Headed to Scottsdale 3/3 to double my P-Car collection, anyone for a beer that nite?

I'm flying in the afternoon of 3/3 to complete the purchase of my new '91 928S4 wasserpumper. I'll be ready for a couple of drinks early evening-any takers? I see there's a PCA race at PIR that weekend, but I'll be leaving town to head home very early on Saturday. Gonna try to make 1050 miles in one day.

My new babe:

14 -15 hours or so on the road is not that bad of a trip. However, there will not be that much to see along the way. Desert and more desert....

But the fun will be in your new car....Travel safe

Looks like a nice 28. I would like to get together for a beer but will be doing final prep on the car before PIR. You should think about staying another night and go to PIR. Afterwards there will be beer at my house.

March 4th PCA/PIR track day whos' coming?

Good luck with the purchase.

I wish I had the extra time to stay. That would be fun to head out to the track for the races. I've got a DE in the 911 myself this weekend, and too much work next week, so I'm anxious to get back home and ogle the new ride.

Have fun, and keep the blue side above...

Never really understood why the 928 was disco'd. It was the ultimate P-Car cruiser for highway travel and very comfortable.

Alright Ed....Tell us what you have planned for for "Tibby"

Chrome the wheels maybe?

Well, I promised the wife that this one wouldn't be "worked on" like the 911. But, I do see wheels and a Rear Muffler Bypass in the near future...

Maybe a "little" suspension work down the road...

Ed, I had an 89 S4 and thought it was a great car. Stranley, it had wheels and a RMB. You will love it!

Cheers

Ed,

Still overseas now but should be returning on the 2nd or 3rd. PM me when you head out of DFW and will see if I am back.

Need a place to stay on the night of the 3rd? Got an extra bedroom if so!

Hey Ed - I'm heading to Scottsdale tomorrow. If you need somebody to warm it up for you for a few days, just say GO. That would beat my Jeep Cherokee rental!! -- Curt
