Help Identify Rear Shocks
I would appreciate your help in identifying these rear shocks.
Ebay link here :- Any idea on origin or details. Seller says he bought them for his 82 Targa, and they have a little surface rust on the main body. Just wonder if they will be of use for my 86 Coupe - can I replace springs individually and re-valve etc. - and can I do away with the torsion bars ? Thanks.

The advert says Bilstein.
What would coilovers have been fitted to originally, and can you do away with the torsion bars ?

Those would not have been on anything originally. They are aftermarket.
Those should fit any 911 from '72 to '89. And yes, you can remove the torsion bars. Those shocks could be rebuilt/revalved by Bilstein, and you could change out the springs for a different spring rate. So definitely worth the money if you can get them for close to what they are now.
