Hood 911->993
does the 911 (-80) hood fit when I put on 993 bumpers and fenders??? does it need modification??

should be fine.. The only difference in the 993 hoods, were the windshield squirters.

FS 79 Targa with 993 parts for conversion
If you read this it seems like there is some parts needed for the hood to fit correct...... "I also have the custom fiberglass pieces needed to make the hood work"

i think i mis read it. Are you putting a 993 hood onto the car as well as the new fenders, or using your old hood with the newer fenders?

The 964/993 hood is about 5mm *shorter* than the pre-'89 hood. That can be most likely distributed. I went the other way with a 993 Supercup alloy lid on my '76 and if I did not tell you, you wouldn't see it.
