Cabriolet Window Seals

I'm installing new window seals for my 1984 911 cabriolet. However the ends of the seals that close on the windshield frame don't seem to fit right. Do these have to be glued in place to work properly?

Today is your lucky day. I just finished wrestling your problem on mine.

Don't bother with clamps and weatherstrip glue!!!!

In short, after many many many and different types of glue, the only one I had success was a a heavy-duty crazy glue. Apply the crazy glue on the top side (not on the rubber piece), push as hard as you can, and hold it in and tight for a few minutes.

Close the cab when you are done. I closed mine last night and hopefully time will make the rubber bend.

Thanks, it looked like some old glue residue on the roof, so that's why
I thought the glue. I will pick up some today.
Let me know how it comes out.
