Pelican v. Stoddards, Window slot seal
Pelican's parts catalog says applicable to 74+ but Stoddard's says 65+. Who is right? Should I even care? What does this do?

Our 1974-89 catalog says 1974-89. Our 1965-73 catalog says 1965-73. We show only the range of years that you are looking for, in order to keep things simple. If you look in the 1965-73 catalog, it lists the years for your model car:

Right you are (of course). Thanks for the clarification. It came up that way on the OEM P/N search so I didn't see the breakdown by years.

I bought a set from Stoddard, different profile than original seal on a 73. The seal end that fits the chrome extrusion on the window trim is too large to slide into the extrusion. I did manage to get one in, sort of, is better than nothing, but just about tore the skin off my fingers trying to force the rubber into the trim, even with using talc and then vaseline on the seal. If Pelican has the right profile, do yourself a favour and get it from them.
