Installing new A/C barrier hoses

I've spent hours researching old threads on replacing the old A/C hoses with barrier hoses, but none of them talk about the actual procedure and how difficult it is....so, how hard is it to do? My car has the O-ring fittings, which I know nothing about but have been told it's a good thing.

My main concern is snaking the new hoses through tight spaces. I haven't even looked at them yet so I don't know what I'm up against. Is it a royal PITA job?

I do not know about installing - but removing the factory hoses was a PITA... Lots of fasteners and lots of long hoses.

Yes its a PITA but maybe not royal. The toughest part is snaking the hoses into the engine compartment but it can be done by hooking on to the old hoses as they come out or some other snaking technique. I think I used a length of copper wire like Romex. All in all it was easier than I anticipated. I took off my old ones, shipped them to ackits.com and they sent me barrier hoses for about $150. As usual take pictures so you can get all the clamps back in the right places. Ken
