1979 911sc vacuum line lengths and diameter?
I am out of town until tomorrow but when i get back, i need to replace all of the vacuum lines in my 79' SC. does anyone have the lengths and what diameter hose i will need? i got a diagram (thanks souk) but it doesnt have the lengths...i tried to search but didnt come up with much, which leads me to anoth question, what are the best ways people have found searching for SC's on pelican, i cant put just "SC" since it is too short to search for, which makes it difficult, any suggestions?
thanks everyone!

This would be great to know.
Pelican should throw together a kit for everyone who still runs CIS.

that is exactly what i was hoping. i have been looking for a while, not that i'm too lazy to cut hoses myself, i just want to do it correctly the first time. i have seen kits on ebay for the 944 and 924, but so far, no 911's

This is an easy fix to a lot of problems.
Take a piece of the vacuum line with you to any auto-parts store. I believe the inside diameter (ID)was 3mm. The larger hose ID was 5mm. Don't quote me on this. When I did my vacuum lines I used 15ft (1983 SC). I did not use the cloth covered hose. Cost $12-$15. Cloth covered hose $20-$25. Remove one hose at a time replace it and move on to the next hose. This way you don't miss a hose and you can cut to length as you go. If your vehicle is like mine, watch out for the T connection on the back of the throttle body. Replacing the hose is easy but finding the connection blindly on the throttle body was a pain. I would suggest you have a sniffer stuffed up the pipe and adjust the A/F mixture when you are done. Good luck.
