Anyone used a Turbo front spoiler on narrow car?

I've read ( at least *once* here on this board) that someone used a Turbo front rubber spoiler on a narrow body car.

He "pinched-in" the upsweep behind the front bellows by not using the metal panel behind the bellows that narrow cars normally use.

Anyone else do this ??

pics?

EDIT:

look here --> 911 Project almost finished: Thanks Guys

compare with Rad Hatter's car here, almost same viewing angle-----> Just got a 1987 Porsche 911 targa

The front chin spoiler on Rad Hatter's car is a spoiler for a narrow body...not a wide body....I have never heard of a turbo spoiler working on a narrow body....design is completely different...but hey...that is not to say it cant be done...

bump.

Wil-

I read about that too but have yet to see a picture of a car that had this done. It looks great on the 930 but I wonder how the shape of that rubber spoiler will look next to the narrow fender.

I do have an extra valance and 930 spoiler laying around so maybe I'll try this.

I'd love to see a car with this done. If anyone has it please post

Thanks
Vinny

Stormmaster:

I fully understand the "build" differences.....but the concept intrigues me as it opens up more possible options.

The "standard" spoiler for a narrow body car is not very well executed as it is...with the "upturn" that sticks out and doesn't blend in very well at the very-end points. Removing the small metal panel (behind the front bellows) on narrow car allows the turbo style to blend-in better in that area...

Would be interesting to know how well this works.....

I'm sure more info will be forthcoming on either this thread or others like it...

I think I first heard of this "possiility" in the classified section when one of these was posted for sale and dialogue seemed to say someone did this...but w/o pics.
