930 flare question?

Did the factory weld the flares on the 930 from 1975 - 1979?

Yes. I believe the quarter panel with intergral flare happened between '84 and '87.

I think the first integrally stamped flares were in 1986.

The answer is yes. I have done this process to a few cars as have many people on this forum. The correct way to do the fenders is to "butt weld" them on. Not overlaping them. I have pictures of the whole process, both before and after of my '76 911S that I put steel Porsche fenders on. If you would like to see them let me know and I can post them or email them to you. Let me know if I can be of further help.
