Big feet? or small pedal area?

I have a 86 targa. my left foot keeps on getting caught when i press down on the clutch on the bump to the left of the clutch. If i install a dead pedal, will that help the problem? or will it make it worse by even further reducing the available room down there?

any help will be appreciated... |

A regular dead pedal will just make it worse if you have big feet. I wear 13 wide shoes and it is a tight fit down around the pedals. You just need to get used to the pedals as they are more closely spaces than most American cars.

My feet used to stick in the beginning as well. It gets better after you get used to driving a 911.

is there no easy way of creating more room to the left of the pedal?

Timely discussion. I also have a targa and size 13 shoes. I wore a hole in the carpet with the outside edge of my left foot. When I replaced the carpet, I put in a Rennline dead pedal. It compresses the carpet and is a perfect fit. It does not make the pedal area smaller and if my big left foot wanders to the left, it slides on the edge of the dead pedal rather that getting hung up on the carpet. Huge improvement for me.
