Thumbs down Oil Leaks

Hey guys,
I've always had a small oil leak from the center of the engine. Always assumed it was a small leak from the RMS. I have a pan under the car and as mentioned the leak has been pretty minimal. Yesterday working in the garage I noticed two new oil leakes. They are on both the right and left side of the engine. Looks like they are leaking from the same area just opposite sides. I'm not flat-six expert, a shady tree mechanic at best. What do you guys think this sounds like? What do I need to be looking for when I get under it today to have a closer look? Best/worse case senarios for repair costs? These things always seem to happen at the worse times. Damn!

oil pressure sender. Maybe - 5 dollars and an engine drop.

Could be a lot of things. You have to find the source. Most of the usual leak spots are not expensive to fix. You just have to find them.

Without pictures this is only wild guessing.

There are many potential places for oil leaks and they rarely drip down in a uniform pattern. Wayne's book addresses some, but unless you can see the source, you are probably in for an engine drop. When you do that, you'll just want to replace everything that could leak. It is pretty inexpensive, and it gives you piece of mind.

I spent about 300 bucks on all the supplies that I needed to fix my leaks, but I had to replace two lines that constituted over 200 bucks of that. The seals are all real cheap. Take your time, clean everything down that was leaked on , and then you'll have a better motor for it.

thermostat O-ring, oil breather seal....Once you drop the engine, you'll have a much better view. Even an extension mirror and a flashlight can't reveal some of those pesky leaks near the rear of the engine...

Garage
Look very very carefully at the oil return lines and the "Banjo" fittings.

Picture in this thread:
Tensioner Banjo Oil Leak - How to Fix?

One each side as you described, gets slowly worse over time as you described, can end up in the middle/bottom of the engine.
