I would guess those "dividers" between the indivudual contact points are part of the plastic base...right?....
If so, I may have overlooked that point as it would probably do fine as protection. Still, the rest of your install is *so neat* a nice black plastic hard cover would be nice. Is it there as a "break-out" point...so individual lights can be added / removed / troubshot from that point ??? - Wil |
Yes they are plastice side dividers between each points.
A nice cover over the whole unit would be really nice, I may have to look into that. Yes it is an individual lights can removed and added, but it is all used up now with the 4 cibies, I guess I can add more light and tap into it that will be way too much lights :) |
Yeah...where would you put the second alternator....maybe locate it where the A/C compresor is on a "normal" car !! .... :)
...would be easy to use the dual crank pulley, etc. hardware.... Wil |
I live near many canyon roads, and I would go for a drive at night sometimes and turn all 4 lights, it is like daylight out there feels like your in a night rally stage :)

I have a question about the attachment of the chrome trim ring. On the back top of the chrome trim ring, there is a tab that fits into the slot in the top of the light housing. With the tab inserted, the chrome ring then rotates down over the front of the lamp and seems to snap into place (the "button" on the end of the finger at the bottom of the mounting ring slips over the rolled trim ring edge inside the trim ring).
If you can understand my description, is this really all that holds the chrome trim ring in place? It doesn't seem very secure. Also, I guess that the loop-shaped tab that protrudes from the bottom of the chrome trim ring holds a lamp cover in place...maybe? Lastly, I am wanting to run a lamp (reflector housing) other than the originals. Has anyone run the Cibie Oscars, or the Cibie LeMans lamps in place of the originals? Any mods needed to make them fit? Thanks |

saw TRE'S 4-place light pod that they offer for 175 bucks out of fiberglass. will hold 4 hella 4000 compact lamps. best part it is attached with DZUS fasteners and is removeable. 2 switches-2 haresses-2 quick disconnects and the DZUS fasteners and it is ON or OFF hood. TRE stated this was exactly what was on ROTHMANNS 959 Paris to Dakar models. sounds like what we are looking for....................LOTS OF REMOVABLE LIGHT! now i am wondering whats the YING/YANG catch?????????? chuck

Where can you find the 'eyebrows' seen on the lights in the pic below?
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1142576953.jpg I used to say that you could never have too many lights....but then again there is this: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1142577030.jpg |

I have a question about the Pallas Light Housings:
Will they accept other sealed Headlights, or Spotlight type Headlight Buckets? (146mm, 5.75") Thank you |
Not that my 3.2 sees a lot of rain but in the off chance, made some gaskets for the Cibie hood lights... Used a 1/16" silicone Rubber Grade 60A, if anyone is interested.
