911 ST information
I've done a few google searches and on this board and cant seem to find any info about this 911.
Its a '71 ST in orange. All I know about it is it was the first car raced by a US team at Le Mans. Does anyone have info on this car?

These pages are from D. Pascal's 1984 book "Porsches at Le Mans" which lists every Porsche entered at the 24 hour race until 1984. The book isn't in print anymore so I feel ok about posting the pages. Unfortunately the pages are in B&W so an orange car is hard to pick out but there is a lot of good info to help you in your quest.

Mattr,
You are refering to the #34 Richie Ginther ST... as in the Pascal book... It has been restored years ago and is one of the beautiful cars featured in the Hal Thoms book with this and other pics... Hope this helps, Cheers,

Incredible book..... !
never saw this .... ...but this error....Porsche # 27 is a 910....and not a 908. The oil cooler entry is on top of the front horizontal surface, like the correctly captioned # 65. - Wil

This site has (correction! Had. Where'd they all go???) color versions of many of those photographs, not to mention many more from other venues.
Excellence did a great story on that car a few years back. You'll have to check the index of back issues to find it.

Anyhow -- here's a picture of the car "back in the day" with EFR concentrating behind the wheel.
