A/c freon sight glass 1987 carrera??

Does this year have a sight glass if so, where is it, do you know the A/c lbs of freon it takes Thanks JL

It is on the dryer under the left front wheel well. Should be sticker on/near the engine w/ the proper charge. 40 something ounces I believe.

Yeah... on my 86 it's in plain view on the big black plastic duct work leading up to the heater blower.. on big yellow sticker... quite large and in your face. I think it says 36oz on mine.

Using R12 on my `87
Using 134a or a Procooler will alter the amount needed.

FYI: I run my system with the Procooler and 36 oz R12 (as recommended) and I get 40 degree vent temps. I like the lower R12 number because lower pressure mean less stress on the seals and the compressor.

Right side of the compressor while looking into the engine compartment. Usually have colored screw on caps on each fitting.
