POP QUIZ! Name that part!
What is it? I can't firgure out what is that red capped thingis... It's on the rear part of my 77 3.0 engine, just above the clutch, under the air box. Should I replace it since I am here? Brown / white wire.

oil pressure warning light sensor. Its cheap and it will fail at some point.

Yes replace it, its an oil pressure switch and while you are there replace the O ring on the internal oil thermostat, its the oval shaped flange with 2 nuts just behind the "red thing" in your picture.:)
