Making progress on my 3.4 twin plug conversion

Well I am getting pretty close. I got my sheet metal back from the powder coaters today. Its going to be hard to wait for that splitter.
WOW, awesome :)

Why don't you just hook up two MSD 6A's and a pair of Blaster coils?

No need for the Andial Splitter.

If you are running the Motronic, we just released a wasted spark setup (no distributor needed) that works with the Motronic system. Plug-and-play setup, no additional hardware except the electronic we provide.. It supports single and twin plugs setup..

How much is this, Fast951?

Stick with the Andial Splitter and the additional Bosch coil. The final product will be an OEM quality look & install.;)

Your motor (other than the distributor which to many smog techs looks original anyway) looks bone stock, that much easier to pass the visual test when going through a CA smog check.:)

BTDT.;)

Just consider losing the heat exchangers/catalyst for the other 23 1/2 months, as these will restrict power. Depending on what other mods you have done, a 3.4L twin-plug with stock heat exchangers/catalyst will make 250-260 horsepower on an engine dyno. We built these all the time at Andial using 964 cams, modified intake plenums & a Tezet sport muffler.

Looking good, hope its running soon.:)

Yes I will wait for the Andial splitter to become available. I looked into the MSD setup and did not like the whole "non factory" look. I like the under stated sleeper look. I'm not against the MSD setup one bit. Its just not for me!
Every car I have ever put together has had that "wait a sec...is that stock, or is it not look". That is the effect I am after. I'll be driving this car daily when its done. I want it to be as legit as possible with the California smog laws. I think the referees would even agree on this one. It should run cleaner out the tail pipe now then when originally equipt.
I need to fabricate a stainless heat sheild between the cat and the lower 1-3 plug wires still. Ideas welcome. SmileWavy
Fast951 I am interested in hearing more about your set up on the wasted spark set up. Tell us more!
