Rear fender flares...Will they fit?
Will rear steel flares, cut out of a 911 coupe, fit a '74 Targa fender? How far out from the wheel opening on say a '79 SC should the cut be made to pick up all the curves needed for a good transition? (I know the bigger the flare the greater the width.) All tips welcomed.

The flares on my '73 coupe came from an '87 Targa.
I cut the donors as big as possible to let my body guy use whatever he needed, and to insure that lining it up correctly was easy. I cut from the upper corner of the tail light housing, to within an inch of the targa glass, to within an inch of the door. That's why my '73 has G-50 torsion bar access holes. |
