It does have an old ungo box alarm in it. It does not appear to work. I will chck out the wiring for it and make sure that it was connected properly and take it out of the ignition circuit completely.
Paul, You mentioned the key switch. I will do a search on it. I will search if they do have a problem intermitteltly to not allow power to the vehicle. Any others? Kevin B |

Did you pull the relay out just before you finally got the motor started? The ignition key will cause a problem like this but I'm not sure it would cause the sputtering you first experienced on the road. I agree with several others; fuel pump circuit or alarm or key. |
No, I didn't touch a thing before it restarted. After it restarted is when I started to look at items like corrosion or a bad connection on the fuel pump. I pulled the fuel pump fuse and relay to check out the connections and they looked fine. I even warmed up the engine and it just kept on running just fine.
I will take a look at the ignition switch and associated wiring. I will also remove the aftermarket alarm which is non functional anyway. Thanks for the help. Kevin B |
