Backdating audio question
My 72 P-car came with a late 80's cassette player that I decided (right or wrong) had to go. So I took it and the five separate bolts that atttached it out and bought a proper vintage Blaupunkt. The problem is the PO installed speakers into the front door pockets and I can't figure how to wire the vintage radio to those speakers (old wiring harness).
Option 1: Find a way to wire the Blaupunkt to the speakers. Option 2 Install a modern radio under the glovebox and leave the Blaupunkt in the dash. Option 3: Only wire the center dash speaker to the Blaupunkt. I'm looking for insight into option 1 or for a cheapie radio for sale. Also, anyone know how the vinyl surround is installed on the dash around the Blaupunkt radio? I have a piece of surround leftover from the old radio but it might need a trim.... ![]()
