Photoshop Help? Sepia Brown with Blue accent?

My car is the sepia brown one. The brown is growing on me but I would love to get some opinions on painting the bumpers and lower part of the car a bright blue. Probably darker than gulf blue but the same way ( in place of the orange).

Anybody with photoshop skill that would be willing to help out? Possibly carrera graphics in blue?

Matt

Wow, Thanks! I think I like the brighter blue. Any chance I could ask you to make the hood blue as well....I have two huge dents in it that need to be fixed anyway.

I'd love to hear some opinions? It is primarily a track autocross/ car. Should I just leave it as is, save my pennies and repaint it? Do the same color but with a carrera / porsche stripe down the side? the original paint is in really nice shape so I am trying to come up with some ideas to give it a little more "pop" without totally scrapping it's originality. Thanks again!

What's wrong with the brown the way it is? I think it looks GREAT! Not too many cars actually look good in brown, but your long-hood certainly does. It's pretty distinctive as is, IMO.

I don't know what it is but when I see your car with the brown & blue, I think of a bag of M&Ms. Kinda makes me hungry. Looks good though.

cool colour combo but id ditch the solid blue hood, perhaps a blue stripe running up and over the car?

Which tool in photoshop do you use for this? Is the colorize widget? Whenever I try something like that it takes tons of masking to get right.

Thanks all for the feedback. I agree. I think the hood is too much and I may leave it as is. Although I was watching from the grandstands at sears point the other day and the brighter colors really draw the eye. May even be safer?

Have you considered silver?

Silver looks pretty cool too. I am open to more suggestions. How would viper green look or different blues? Thanks

As a professional designer (albeit not of anything automotive), I honestly can't recommend any color to go with brown. Not that brown isn't lovely or that your car isn't beautiful, but colors just die against brown. That's why I recommended the silver...it provides an interesting contrast w/o being too....er....ugly. Sorry.

..and for the record, I'm in the same boat. Somebody painted my (originally light ivory) car a metallic brown in it's lifetime. It actually looks pretty good as it sits, but I can't do anything fun with it. Not until I repaint the whole car.

I agree with Doug...none of the blues look very good. On the other hand, I think the silver looks great!

My $.02.

Leave it brown. Sepia Rocks!

RSR finished fuchs really stand out on a non metallic color like Sepia.

I like the silver too. Maybe make the numbers more interesting?

I like the silver idea. I should have put this out before I bought them but I have some black and white "meatball" numbers to go on the doors, hood and back for time trialing. I also like the idea of the PORSCHE graphic. No need to hold back on the "ugly" combination comments. I won't take it personally. I am just looking for a way to give the car a bit more pizazz without lightening my wallet by $10K. Amazing amount of talent and creativity on the board.
