breather hose
Is it okay to buy a general purpose hose in place of the OEM fitted hose? My hose is pretty cracked and I am not sure that there is a "backflow" valve in it either. I have searched for a "backflow" valve on the Pelican but couldn't find the part. Can anyone help?

If you are talking about the crankcase breather, get the OEM braided thick hose. I used 1" heater hose line from Napa and it not oly sweated oil, but it bubbled and burst. I replaced this last time around with the actual OEM part and now everything is fine.
