Can't Porsche pick a better commercial

Here we have Porsche running their P2 Spiders plus a whole gaggle of RSR's and the best commercial Porsche can run during the Sebring 12 is a Cayenne giving kids rides during a birthday party. Great promo for their racing efforts; giving 6 year olds joy rides around the block. Unbelievable!!!! This company is in the crapper.

SUVs are in now my friend. It's all about the $$$. It seems like Porsche does not market to the "enthusiast" crowd anymore.

True, although a lot of us may not like the cayenne, it has brought nothing but good times to the company.

Even Audi is doing the same thing, showing off their proud SUV product; digusting!! You would think Porsche or Audi would show something related to the racing effort; maybe some DTM footage, or some historic 962 Lemans clips; something related to the racing effort. How about some old Penske 70's footage with the RSR timelining to the present.
What happened to race Sunday, sell Monday?

What's worse is it doesn't "wear" well. It's just not that clever.

Something like the "holy moly" Boxster commercial (with the old guy who awakes from a coma and takes his 550 out for a drive) --I can watch that several times and still not get tired of it.

But this one...once is enough.

Porsche may or may not care about the enthusiast anymore (though it's hard to imagine that they don't). But the Cayenne is the best seller in the lineup, and SUV's are what the public wants. So while I (and you) may not be of the SUV-type, heck, if sellinig Cayennes means Porsche can stay in the black and stay independent, and therefore build/race more RS Spyders and GT3's, then I'm all for it...I think.

Not all recent Porsche ads are duds. I recall the one from a year or so ago, where the little girl purposefully misses the schoolbus so that Dad has to drive her in the 911. "Holy moly" one was cute, too.
