Number 4 barrel insulation

Stripping my 67 S engine for a leakdown test before a start after 20 years. I have insulation packed around my number 4 barrel. Do you think a little creature has done this. I can't find this insulation any where on the car. As you can see there is handfuls in there.

Looks like a rat. The insulation came from the attic near the car, not from the car itself.

He would have been cosy.
On a side note. Fan. Fan housing. Rocker covers and the top cooling cover ???.
What colours should they be ?? All my cylinders are Sept 66. So an early engine.
Thanks Lyndon

I respectfully disagree -- it's a mouse. They nest in the most incomprehensible spaces and build them up with all sorts of materials.
