Worst lettering on RSR Clone

Check out the lettering on the side of this "RSR" clone - isn't it supposed to say "Carrera"?

Looks like the 'O' could be misread as an 'A' or Parsche...

SC Schrauber 03-20-2006 04:53 PM

... or even worse: "Porsch" or "Carerra" :)

Noah930 03-20-2006 05:33 PM

Heh heh. "Carerra"

I live about 2 miles from that dealer... I thought about stopping in and checking that car out... not that I could afford it or anything... hehehe

Jim Garfield 03-20-2006 06:14 PM

Maybe they should stick with Carvettes.:D

Joe Bob 03-20-2006 06:23 PM

Well at least it wasn't painted on....I hope.....

Is that the worst thing you see on this car? It's a decal. It comes off. OTOH, it's advertised as a track car so it might be missing some of the amenities and legalities of comfortable street driving (e.g. street-size torsion and sway bars).

It's slightly creative. It's been suggested that I do that with "Pelican" down the side of my car. Now that I see that, I definitely won't.

Interesting how the displacement / case of the engine was left out of the description...

Poo. Lots of ugly details too...check out the middle hump in the rear seats...anything there that shouldn't be?

An engine rebuild too...I smell Motormeister...

I love it wayne, I think you should see how it looks. Very clever.

some nice bits, kinda spendy, I love those wheels.

Kemo 03-21-2006 05:56 AM

Why would you expect a Porsche to be done right in "Corvette Country?"

widebody911 03-21-2006 09:45 AM

It doesn't look too bad other than horrible lettering, it's too narrow and too pricey.

FrayAdjacent911 03-21-2006 10:06 AM

Well, if anyone were seriously interested in that car, I live really close. if I had a reason to go check it out... hehehe

mb911 03-21-2006 10:12 AM

They did not do the car. Cs motor sports in wisconsin did the tranny (good shop) and the engine was done in Minnesota so maybe just maybe it was built in my neck of the woods and someone thought it looked good (not me) then did not like it so traded it in on a corvette

Period correct BBS gold center wheels - period correct for 1982. But perhaps we're being too harsh. Someone is trying to capitalize upon the insatiable demand for 73RS clones.

Capitalism and Caveat Emptor Collide at Corvette Country.
