Rear Screen Seal

Can anyone tell me whether a brand new rear screen seal for an 82SC should be moulded to the same shape as the window (ie have moulded corners) or are they supplied as a loop. The reason is is that I have tried to fit a new one which is loop shaped (not porsche OEM), however it will not fit correctly around the screen corners. The inner lip which sits over the top surface of the glass just buckles up and won't stay flat, and it doesn't look the bezel will push it down either. The corners of the screen appear to be too tight to allow the rubber to bend around without creasing.

Anybody had this problem before

Thanks

David

Use an OEM (Porsche) rubber for the rear window (screen) glass and windshield and it will fit as it should - as I recall the OEM gaskets had overall trapezoidal shapes as molded. The trim (bezel?) must be installed into the rubber gasket before installing the window (screen) in the car.
