'88 930 relays behind the ga/oil guage

Does anyone know what these relays do and what their functions are for each? Reason is I began taking my white faced gauges off to send off to a buyer when I saw there was a 4-socket relay board with the 3rd one from the left missing.

can someone tell me what this 3rd relay is for?

When I first picked up the car 2 months ago I found an old black relay in the trunk, then I thought maybe the PO had a spare, so I tried fitting it in, perfect match, but when I started the car up to see if there was anything noticeable about inserting this relay there was like electronic buzzing noise present. I couldnt exactly tell from where it was coming from.

any ideas?

I'm with Kirk911SC -- key in the ignition/seatbelt buzzer. With the key in the ignition, open the driver's door -- relay should buzz. If you pull the relay, buzzing should cease.

I pulled mine years ago and keep it in the glove box.

I think one of them may be the relay that allows you to use the power windows when the car is turned off and you open the doors...a convienence feature.

does it control the interior lights when you open or close the door?
for some reason lights wont turn on when I open my doors. Do the 930's even have this feature? My car didnt come with an owners manual so alot of the cars features are unknown to me, learning as I go.

Did you try turning on the lights manual by pressing the edge of them. They sort of rock within their housing. They may be set to off. They have three settings.

1. Off
2. On/Off with opening/closing of door
3. On

I did, but when I click them to the middle "on/off", they only stay on even with the doors closed.

I may have the sequence out of order.

Might be 1,3,2?
