G-50 clutch pedal not fully returning
When cold the clucth pedal sometimes does not return all the way out. It seems to be temp. related, since it was fine last fall. Weak slave cyl.? Dirty fluid?,Weak master cyl. dirty pedal cluster? Thanks to all in advance. 88 cab.

Probably the easiest (?) thing to do first is pull the pedal cluster out and clean and lubricate. If the bushings are crudded up, it might cause this...

You aren't getting subzero temps there in Portland that could cause the brake fluid to turn to syrup...
![]() I suppose if the clutch helper spring wasn't correctly in place it could contribute to this. The clutch linkage is hydraulic so most of the push back is in the clutch itself. ![]() The end of the spring (#32) lays behind the eccentric pin (#30). If the end of the spring isn't hooked under the pin then it won't help push the pedal back up. If this is the case just unhook the shaft coming from the clutch master from the lever (#24). Then you can pull the pedal forward and reseat the spring. The series of linkages from the lever back to the spring are a bit odd. You might have to lift up on them as you push the pedal back.
