Angry Interior light switch wire fell into door jamb!!!

Does anyone know if the wire attached to the door switch for the interior lights runs under the dash or into the trunk?

I was replacing the switch when the wire just came loose and dropped into the door jamb.

If I try to fish it out of the hole it will take me a month.

It runs into the trunk. The same thing happened to me when I replaced my switches but it only took a few minutes to fish it out.

Plymouthcolt- Sorry to hear about the mishap. I unscrewed one of my switches to have a look since they're starting to fail intermittently and man that wire is short! It barely comes out of the jamb so I put the switch back. Has anyone come up with a good way to keep the wire from falling in? Roach--errr, alligator clip maybe?

It is a good use of surgical clips that are readily available. They will stop the wire from falling back into the jamb and makes the wire easy to plug in. Surgical clips are readily available at most swap meets.
