Removing flare protector a possibility on SC?

I just was looking at pictures of a black SC that I might buy and I noticed that it has the anterior rear-well flare protector that you see on Turbos and Turbo-look cars. I think they look OK on light colored cars but I do not want them on a black SC. Is it possible to remove them without molesting the black paint, leaving no evidence that they were ever present? Thanks in advance,

Curt

They peel right off. Use some WD40 or AVON Skin-so-Soft to help them off. It will also get any residue remaining on the paint.
I put my protectors back on to hide my paint chips.

A hair drier can also be helpful if you can convince some nearby female to lend one to you without actually revealing what you're going to do with it.

Be prepared to find chips under them though...

Thanks Wayne and Ianc. I suspected that might be the way to do it, bit I didn't know if you could completely remove the residue without disturbing the paint. Thanks again,
Curt

I removed one side on my SC once by letting it set in the hot sun and pulling it very slowly a bit at a time. It came off clean but was on Factory paint. I was just replacing one side and it did have a few stone chips under it.

The WD40 sounds like a good way to go as it would break down the adhesive, Peel a little, spay a little, repeat.

Hey Bob, Thanks for that! Very cool indeed.
