I just finished installing back my engine (1976 2.7L) and noticed that I have what appear two thick black wires (one coming from the front of the car, and the other coming from the engine in the same loom as the reverse backup switch and starter motor small cables). I am not sure if both of these get connected to the starter motor or if one goes to the starter motor and the other one is a ground (they look the same). I don't want to fry something when I crank the ignition. Can someone tell me what these two may be and which one goes to the starter solenoid (one comingg fron the front or the one coming from the engine side). Thanks

I made the connections I thought were correct but when I turn the key the starter turns bu it keeps on turning even after I turn the key off. I have to disconnect the battery terminal to get it to stop. Any ideas? Does anyone have a photo of the connections to the starter I can use. thanks
