price check 2.4 7R engine
 

I have a complete bottom end from a 2.4, and it is a 7R case ,I was going to use it to convert it to a 2.7 carrera rs engine, but somebody told me not to bore out the 2.4 case, to leave it alone because they are rare.

Is this true? or should I just bore it out to 2.7

What is a 2.4 7R case worth? I could sell it and use the money towards my project

Which engine would you rather have? I have 2.4S engine I made from a 2.4T motor in a 5R case. I would prefered a 2.7RS MFI if I had another chance to do it over... YMMV A 7R 2.4 case is somewhat obscure (from 1973 only) but nothing special in my mind. HTH

Yeah, they are rarer than the 2.7 cases, but not that rare. If I were you I'd sell it and get a 2.7 one; I'd say the 2.4 7R case is worth about $500 while the 2.7 7R is about $350. FWIW, I have a couple of the 2.7 variety.
